Calibre Press Presents...

POLICE PISTOLCRAFT & The Reality-Based New Paradigm of Police Firearms Training!

Saber Group, Inc., in association with the Trinity Workplace Learning Knowledge Group and Law Enforcement Training Network (LETN), participated in the creation of a special three-part training video series based on the textbook, POLICE PISTOLCRAFT: The Reality-Based New Paradigm of Police Firearms Training.

We here at Saber Group are very proud to be working once again with the fine people at TWL, LETN, and Calibre Press. We are also very grateful for the unbelievable amount of time and dedication exhibited by all involved in this important project. In particular, thank you to Bill Quiett, Executive Producer of this series. Bill is a good man who truly grasps and believes in what we are trying to accomplish with the New Paradigm training approach. His unyielding support and pursuit of excellence have resulted in a video training series we are all very proud of and excited about.

Currently, these programs and videos are only available to those who participate in Saber Group training courses, or directly from LETN and Calibre Press.

We hope you enjoy the clips provided below. More will be posted soon.

Program 1: Calibre Press Presents Roll Call: Police Pistolcraft: From Then to Now

Synopsis: In this course, we will take a look backward in order to help us understand how police firearms training developed in the United States and why and how so many of the methods and techniques we have come to accept as dogma were adopted. An explanation of how the New Paradigm was developed will also be provided.  (EDA 057-0607 / 30 minutes)

Clip 1: Part One Introduction                        Clip 2: 13 Colonies                        Clip 3: Teddy Roosevelt                  Clip 4: Fairbairn & Sykes              Clip 5: Cap and Ball Pistol

Program 2:  Calibre Press Presents Roll Call: Police Pistolcraft - Untangling the Snakes

Synopsis: If you failed at doing something 85 percent of the time, would you consider yourself proficient at it? That is what police officers do in real world gunfights: they hit their intended target only 15 percent of the time. In this course, we will look at how police officers are actually trained to do what they do with their pistols. We examine how the pistol training of today evolved into what it is and look at both the good and the bad. We also untangle the confusing system that pistol training has become and introduce you to the New Paradigm of Police Pistolcraft. (EDA: 057-0707 / 30 minutes)

Program 3:  Calibre Press Presents Roll Call: Police Pistolcraft - New Paradigm Tactics and Techniques

Synopsis: In this course, the integrated Duty Pistol Training Course (DPTC) concept is examined and the approach and components of each of the four levels are individually described. In addition, we explore how these modules are designed as stepping stones, one leading to the next, in a series of interconnected courses of fire that lead the participant from a basic to advanced level of performance. (EDA: 057-0807 / 30 minutes)
